Singing pianist
Preston

I am, among other things, a pianist, drummer, organist, mezzo soprano, multi-instrumentalist, and composer, highly regarded in the Preston music scene -- so much so that numerous choirs have wished for me to join, but I'm unable to commit to so many! Fun fact, I've drummed with Aziz Ibrahim of Simply Red fame! Twice!

Troisnyx is an incredible musician and her performances are just incredible. Her concerts are enchanting and her glowing personality is a welcome sight. She can not only perform music from memory, but she can also write her own music and preform it live with an envyable confidence. Seeing her preform is truly a gift.

I've always found Troisnyx's work to be beautiful and emotional, and this concert is no exception. Her voice conveys the depth of the lyrics she sings very well, whether a cover or an original, and the piano accompaniment compliments it very well. Performance-wise, it felt like she was really into the music she was playing, whether a soft musical number (i.e. "Somewhere Over The Rainbow") or an upbeat song ("Come Together") it showed she put her full emotion in it. The set was excellent, as well. I was caught by surprise by each song and I was looking forward to the next one after each finished. Overall, this was a great concert. I left looking forward to hearing more.

They've often said how magical it feels!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Layton Institute Blackpool, St Wilfrid's Church, St Walburge's Church, St Maria Goretti's Church, Blessed Sacrament Parish (all Preston), St Michael's Church Grimsargh, Preston City Stage, Vinyl Tap Preston, The Prince of Wales Chorley, Shepherds Hall Ale House Chorley, The Wheatsheaf Preston, The Angel Preston, The Pear Tree Penwortham, and virtual events!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Enya, Kokia, Mylène Farmer, Akiko Shikata, Elton John.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Not keys — my biggest gig saw me drumming for Aziz Ibrahim of Simply Red fame at a jazz festival!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I endeavour to work with your timings; please let me know at least two weeks in advance if the timings change slightly.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Long as it's working and in tune, absolutely!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Absolutely! If they're on the list, no problem! Please let me know in advance, however, as I'll need to practise every now and then.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes; I own an Alesis Recital keyboard and I am happy to bring it to your venue to play acoustically.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If you're requesting songs not in my set list, please contact me, ideally with a link to your desired song, and I might be able to learn it up ahead of the gig, depending on difficulty and the kind of piece it is. I charge an additional £30 for more difficult songs, or if the request is given to me within a week of the gig.
