Miriam Shovel is a singer who bridges musical genres. As a choral singer, she has a wealth of experience, having been a choral scholar in the choir of Trinity College Cambridge, as well as singing with prominent youth ensembles such as the National Youth Chamber Choir of Great Britain, and the Rodolfus choir. She is a regularly deputy in London churches, work that she greatly enjoys. She also loves consort singing, and is the Musical Director of the eight-voice group FourFour, which specialises in unaccompanied Renaissance polyphony. As a jazz vocalist, Miriam started out singing with the Brighton and Hove Youth Big Band. Once at university, she became the vocalist for Fitz Swing, as well as singing with the popular jazz and function band The Handlers. Miriam is looking to branch out into the London Jazz scene.
She has a lovely deep tone to her voice, really nice lady. Would love to work with her again.
