We are a string quartet based in Birmingham, West Midlands, and we offer high quality live music suitable for a wide range of events. We also cover the surrounding areas, including (but not limited to) Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, The Cotswolds, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire, Derbyshire, and The Malverns. We have experience providing musical entertainment for weddings, parties, dinners, functions, concerts, musicals, shows and awards ceremonies. We met at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire whilst completing our professional musical training, and became great friends there. We love to make music together, and we are passionate about performing for people who love music. We pride ourselves on being professional, approachable, and flexible to suit your requirements. Artume are absolutely fantastic! So professional and talented, the choice of songs for our wedding day was far longer than we expected with a wide variety of style choices which gave us plenty of options. Artume played for my 50th birthday party. They gave the perfect atmosphere - a sophisticated but light hearted backdrop for general conviviality. They were very professional in organisation, setting up and performing and the repertoire was suitably chosen for the evening with a great mix of classics and popular arrangements. Do you have different line-up options?

Our line up is as follows: 2 violins, viola and cello. We think that this is the best ensemble to showcase our set list, and prefer to take bookings as a quartet. If one of us is unavailable on the date you request and the remaining players make up a viable trio, we will take the booking for a reduced fee.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know, and if we are available we will adjust our fees accordingly to accommodate any extra time.

How much time do you need to set up?

We will arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the start of your booking to set up our instruments and music stands.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Of course you can! We completely tailor our set list to what you would like. We are also happy to choose a set list based on genres you like.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes! All we do need are four armless chairs to sit on to play.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song or piece isn't included in our repertoire list there may still be a chance we already know it. If you have a special request we are happy to do this for you. There is an additional fee of £30 for this to cover the cost of the music and rehearsal time.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We are told again and again by our clients that they love how friendly and personable we are, and how our playing adds something special to every event!

We love all music, but especially love folk and in particular are huge fans of the Danish String Quartet.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We performed for BBC West Midlands at their awards ceremony for the BBWM Royal Television Society in November 2018, held at Birmingham Town Hall.
