Vivid Soul is a 7-piece Birmingham-based wedding and function band featuring exceptional musicians with a rock-solid rhythm section, punchy horns and stellar vocals. The band prides itself on delivering a wildly infectious and remarkably polished performance, something due in no small part to the wealth of experience running through the group. Vivid Soul delivers an extensive repertoire of the best songs from across the decades, right up to the present day. Wow, what an unforgettable evening Vivid Soul created for us on our wedding day! From the moment we met them, their professionalism shone through, and their punctuality on the big day was truly impressive. When it was their time to shine, they had our guests on their feet in an instant, and their modern music sets were exactly what we were hoping for. What stood out to us was their flexibility with requests – they seamlessly integrated our favourite songs into their sets. The most important thing for us was hassle-free entertainment that would get our guests dancing, and Vivid Soul delivered beyond measure. What do your clients love most about your performances?

We love bringing energy to an event! There is nothing more rewarding than to see a room of guests dancing to the music we make!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We have perfect at some fantastic venues! Some of our highlight have been: -Aston Villa’s Villa Park Stadium -Edgbaston Stadium -Many Wedding venues including Cripps Barn venues -Harborne Carnival boasting of 70,000 visitors each year!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We love all things pop, funk and soul! From Jackson 5 to Stevie Wonder, from Bruno Mars to Beyonce!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We will be performing at Harborne Carnival in June this year! The carnival is one of Britain’s biggest street carnivals – second only to London’s Notting Hill. Boasting an audience of up to 70,000 people, it is set to be our biggest gig yet!

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-audititioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level!

Do you have different line-up options?

Our most popular options in addition to the main 7-piece party band are: VIVID SOUL – UNPLUGGED A smaller Acoustic or Jazz version of the main band, catered to your requirements. VOCAL AND PIANO/GUITAR DUET Perfect background music for a drinks reception! DJ AND SAXOPHONE A great addition to any party to keep your guests dancing all night!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

CURATED PLAYLISTS Either to be used between live music sets or after the main event to keep the energy of your event pumping!

How much time do you need to set up?

On average, we need about 1.5 hours to set everything up. To make sure we have plenty of time to get everything sorted and ready to go, we would ideally arrive at least 2 hours before our first set. If you would prefer us to arrive earlier (to ensure our set up doesn’t interrupt any guests!) we can very happily do this!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event! Check out our repertoire lists to get a full sense of the sort of set list we offer!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote. We usually require a minimum space of approximately 5m wide and 4m deep which would be perfect for us, however we are happy to squeeze where necessary and will always adapt to make a space work.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Let us know in advance and we can most likely prepare any requested songs. Whether this be the song for your first dance at your wedding, or an absolute banger you just HAVE to hear us play, we’ll do our best to deliver!
