Romy Wymer

I'm a Glasgow-based harp player and composer, blending traditional roots and contemporary styles to create atmospheric music! I graduated with a first-class honours degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2019, and have since then been a semi-finalist in the BBC Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year award, and have been awarded second place and the audience award in the World Harp Competition, playing the competition's first all-lever-harp programme of original works. I'm also a recording artist having worked on albums in a range of genres, including multi-genre harp group the Willow Trio and jazz collective Azamiah. My original works have been featured on BBC Radio 3 and other radio stations around the world. I'm also an experienced event musician, having played for weddings, corporate and private events, in care homes, tea houses, car dealerships, at children's dance workshops, puppet shows, hospitals, the Edinburgh Fringe... My setlist ranges from upbeat folk to atmospheric film music and relaxing classical, as well as music from video games and other pop culture, but can contain anything you'd like!
