JUST BRILLIANT. Relative Cool played for our wedding on the 1st April 2024 in the Lake Districts and we honestly could not be happier. From the first time we contacted them, they were super helpful and replied quickly to any queries we had. All of our guests have commented on how amazing the band was (and we couldn’t agree more). It was lovely to see all of our guests up and dancing. Thank you so much for playing for us!

Cannot recommend this lovely and talented band enough! From booking up to the week of the wedding we had great communication from them. There was a slight delay with our evening reception starting and the band were very accommodating and reassuring. Our guests haven't stopped commenting about how amazing the music and atmosphere was and the dance floor was full from the moment they began their set until they played their last song. Thank you again for making our wedding evening so memorable and fun 😊

Relative Cool completed our wedding reception, it would not have been the same without them! They performed our first dance and the father-daughter dance within their set, it was so special to have them performed live and we had so many comments from guests about how great they were. They were a last minute booking for us, due to unforeseen circumstances but I fully believe everything happens for a reason! Communication with the band beforehand was professional and prompt, they arrived at the venue to set up and were all very friendly and happy, the music variation was perfect for an event where there are such vast age differences, they even had my grumpy uncle up dancing! It’s clear to see the passion from every band member, the talent here is amazing! If you are unsure if you want a band for your wedding, I can tell you that my experience with this band has definitely made me realise that I would have regretted it if I hadn’t!

Relative Cool have been absolutely fantastic at our wedding. They learned our first dance song after we requested it and nailed it! Their sets got everybody dancing. We had the best time and so did our guests - so many of them pointed out how good the band was! They were also very helpful and responsive throughout the planning process. All in all, fantastic band and we couldn’t be happier! 5 ⭐️ from us.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We pride ourselves on our professional service from the first enquiry onwards. We aim to be as flexible and accomodating as possible, particularly on the day of the event. Our clients always comment on the quality and 'tightness' of our musicians and our vocal harmonies.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We have performed at countless weddings, parties and private events in a whole host of venues up and down the UK.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Chic, Nile Rodgers, Bruno Mars, Quincy Jones, Jamiroquai, Hall and Oates, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Fleetwood Mac, James Brown.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We headlined the Windrush Music Festival in our home town of Preston, playing to a crowd of thousands on a beautiful sunny day!

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-audititioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level.

Do you have different line-up options?

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free as standard and even extend the use of our playlist DJ service and our PA after the final set until the venue closes! We also offer a manned DJ service if you prefer, although there is an additional charge for this service.

How much time do you need to set up?

We can be all set up and ready to go in about 60 - 90 mins and this is usually best done just before the performance time. If you require an earlier set up, this is available for a small fee. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide our complementary playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We're definitely happy to chat through songs and requests and make sure we find what works for your event. However, our set lists are crafted from countless live performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. We know how to fill a dance floor and we'll read the room on the night to keep the party going!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

All equipment is included in the quote, including our lighting system and PA and microphones available for your speeches. We usually require a minimum 4 x 5 metre space to perform.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you, as long as the song is suitable for our band. We are more than happy to discuss this with you.
