I am a classically trained singer, with repertoire ranging from opera to the present day. I have a degree in Music from The University of Surrey, and since completing my degree, I've been performing professionally throughout the UK and further afield. I have performed at prestigious venues such as The Cutty Sark, Selfridges, Sutton House, The Royal Opera House and The Tower of London. I have a real passion for entertaining audiences of all ages and will happily create a bespoke set with you to fit your event perfectly. We can work on this together before the event or I can choose music for your guests once I am there. With my huge repertoire, I'm bound to keep all audiences entertained all night! I bring with me a top class PA system, and you can choose between glamorous vintage microphone or wireless handheld, the choice is yours!

Colin Mulford To  Nara Taylor   Review13/8/2018 13:21 Hi Nara, Thanks again for making our day a memorable occasion and here is the review for you to post. Review for Nara Taylor, on Saturday 4th August 2018, Venue Coulsdon Manor, Coulsdon, Surrey. We booked Nara for our Golden Wedding Anniversary which was a mix of 100 friends and family and having seen her before we aware of here appeal and style. We are pleased to say she arrived well before time to set up and run a sound check and adjust her volume to suit the expected guests. Nara performed two 45 minute sets and not only sung extremely well but also pleasantly entertained everyone with her happy comments. All of her songs received much acclaim from our guests and all the business cards and leaflets left on the tables,  were taken, hopefully by prospected clients. We highly recommend Nara Taylor to you for your function, with her large repertoire and professional approach you will not be disappointed. Colin and Sandra Mulford.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients love how interactive I am with all their guests. For me it's as much about creating a party atmosphere as it is about the singing, an that means including all the guests, from the youngest to the oldest! I'm also extremely flexible when it comes to timings and repertoire!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Highlights of my performance career include singing at: The Royal Opera House The Tower of London Greenwich Painted Hall Glastonbury Festival Handel House Syon House Doncaster Corn Exchange Simpsons Restaurant Corporate clients include: Snapchat Sainsburys Selfridges Beefeater Gin Zoopla Deloitte

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I love a very wide variety of music, but singing-wise I adore Ella Fitzgerald, I think her silky smooth vocals just cant be beaten!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Singing in The Royal Opera House was quite special! However I love all my gigs and I treat every show as if it were The Royal Opera House!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible, we all know things can change in the planning process. I will try my utmost best to cater to any changes.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes this is not a problem! I often get asked to provide music in between my sets and am happy to do this. If you do want to use my PA system for a DJ service after my set then I do make an additional hourly charge for my time.

How much time do you need to set up?

I like to be set up before your guests arrive ideally. If you let me know when they are coming then I will insure my soundcheck is done before then. It normally takes me half an hour to set up my gear and check my sound, and after that I can provide a free playlist service for while your guests enter.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

If there are any particular songs from my set list you would like, please do ask. I also offer packages for certain eras and styles. For example: Gatsby, rock and roll, 60's, disco, or a mix of great music.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, of course, and you can choose either a vintage style silver microphone or handheld wireless microphone.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If there is anything not on my set list you would like to hear, do enquire. I might already know it or with enough notice might be able to learn it for your event. There is a £30 fee for this to cover rehearsal time.
