Lady Rose is an exceptional, award-winning vocalist based in Nottingham. She performs as a solo artist and as part of a duo under the same name with her husband. They perform with a combination of Guitar, Ukulele, Bass and professional backing tracks to create a full and impressive sound. They have an ever growing, expansive set list of popular hits from across the decades and genres (Pop, Jazz, Motown, Soul, Reggae and Blues) and also offer DJ as an additional option for events. Together, the pair perform a wonderfully varied mix of covers to keep the party going. They take on requested songs for Weddings and Birthdays, going above and beyond to ensure an extra special soundtrack is created and delivered to guests at any event. The pair have a rapidly growing, online following of over 50,000 and millions of views on their videos. Lady Rose releases music as a solo artist under her real name (Joanne Mather) through Frtyfve Records, working alongside Paolo Nutini's manager and co-producer. She recently taken to Rock City Main Stage performing as a guest vocalist with world renowned act - The Postmodern Jukebox.

Lady Rose was beyond perfection at a private party in The Cumin Nottingham. Gave everything she had and more. You can’t help but dance and be spellbound by her performance. Can’t wait to hire her again. So warm and personable too.

Wow! We booked Jo and James for my dad's 80th Birthday party and they were absolutely incredible from start to finish. We requested several songs which they learned for my dad as a surprise. They spoke with us beforehand to make sure their set lists and the DJ music would be to everyone's taste and were happy to take requests on the night from guests. They were both highly professional, mega talented and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be booking them for future family gatherings. 10/10

Best band in Nottingham hands down! Hired them for my mums wedding and they had everyone on the dance floor one moment and then had everyone moved to tears the next (in the best possible way) They played all night for us and we loved every minute, they truly made it a night to remember!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients love the heart, soul and passion I put in to each performance. They come on an emotional journey with me and I make sure everyone has an unforgettable musical experience. Clients love getting up on the dancefloor with me, my wireless mic allows me to move around the venue freely and interact with guests.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I Performed with world renowned act - The Postmodern Jukebox at Rock City Nottingham in April 2023. After sharing a video online, the fabulous pianist and PMJ founder, Scott Bradley discovered it and got in touch to see if I would perform with the band in my home city.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

In most cases we are able to be flexible with the timings as long as enough notice is given. If timings change, just let us know and we can discuss the details.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely! We can provide DJ music between sets and from the final set until the end of the evening for an additional £150.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually arrive an hour before our first set starts to allow enough time to set up and soundcheck. As soon as our PA is set up we put on Background music to create a nice atmosphere for guests before our first set.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

We are happy for you to choose some of the songs from our repertoire to include within our sets and any you may want us to avoid. After years of performing at various events we have found that we are able to read a crowd and craft bespoke sets that keep everyone engaged flow nicely throughout the evening.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes. We just need a plug socket, we take care of the rest!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it so please ask. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn that we do not know, we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £50 per song for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc
