As both a soloist and accompanist I have performed in a variety of settings including weddings, funerals and professional venues such as The Sage Gateshead for conference events. For weddings in particular I enjoy tailoring my set to the requests of the party and have even created unique pieces for newly weds. I can either perform on an acoustic piano if this is available at the venue or I can bring my own high-quality performance keyboard (Roland FP-4) at no extra cost (please note a power source must be available). My credits as a composer are primarily in the realm of music theatre with London-based lyricist Dave Spencer - I have composed three full-scale musicals which have been performed in London, Durham and at the Edinburgh Fringe all to great acclaim. We gave Jo the challenge of playing three very different songs at our wedding: "Annie's Song" by John Denver, "Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin" and "Love Story" by Taylor Swift. She played beautifully -"Stairway to Heaven" brought a WOW from the guests! She also played her own lovely selections for an hour at our drinks reception. The high quality live music really elevated our wedding and made it very memorable.

Jo played the organ at the church for our wedding and also the keyboard to entertain guests arriving at the reception. Her playing was flawless, very expressive and really beautiful. Jo is also a skilled composer, and made our evening entertainment truly unique by including an amazing surprise which moved us all to tears. Unbeknown to us Jo had written a special song for our wedding which was sung by my daughter. It was truly amazing, really moving and unforgettable, adding an element to the evening that few other musicians would offer. This made our wedding so special and different, and the song was the icing on the cake of the best day ever. She is extremely talented yet also reliable, responsive to her clients' requirements and always smiling and cheerful. Jo's musical contribution really added to our day and created a wonderful ambience for our guests and a magical atmosphere with lots of happy memories for us.
