Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £100.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 2 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes, of course - as long as the piano is in working order and has been recently tuned, then I'm happy to play on it.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, I'm definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes, where I am booked to perform as a solo pianist and where there is no suitable piano to perform on, I am happy to provide my own digital piano keyboard. If booking my band, Party Beat, the keyboard is included within the total fee also.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £50 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

They love the way I am able to mould my performances to their requirements. Providing the right type of music for the occasion and for the age range of guests present is vital for the success of an event. To be able to “read” the audience can only come with experience.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Most London West End 5 star hotels, including The Ritz, The Savoy, The Dorchester, Mayfair Hotel, Hilton, Claridges, Grosvenor House, Four Seasons, etc., The Troubadour Club, Marquee Club, 100 Club, Ronnie Scott’s, plus numerous other venues throughout the country.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

My two biggest pop musical influences are The Beatles and Elton John. My musical tastes are, however, very wide. Music during a performance might well range from Jerry Lee Lewis, Rolling Stones, The Monkees, Bob Marley, etc. to Travis, Oasis, Stereophonics, and The Killers.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Probably supporting U2 at Milton Keynes Bowl: not in my own band, but one I was very much a big part of. Performing for royalty on various occasions would have to be up there too!
