The Groovy Funky Things

Comprising 5 outstanding musicians with thousands of hours of gigging experience, Groovy Funky Things is a brand-new function/party band available for shows across the Midlands and beyond. We perform a range of classic funk, soul, disco, and club dance tunes for your guests' dancing delight. Our repertoire includes music from legendary artists like Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, Chaka Khan, Michael Jackson, and Whitney Huston, along with more recent hits from the likes of Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, Spiller, and Maroon 5. The band draws upon highly trained musicians, most of whom are music graduates, who earn all or the overwhelming majority of their income from music. Many of us have performed both in Europe and across the Atlantic. Whatever your event, you're guaranteed the highest standards of musicianship and entertainment from GFT. We are a completely self-contained unit with our own PA and lighting equipment suitable for indoor events with up to around 200 guests, in rooms or marques up to around 300 square metres or 3200 square feet in size. This covers most hotel, wedding, and conference venues, however, we can easily hire additional equipment if your event demands it. Do you need music between our sets? No problem, we can easily provide a play list of suitable tracks to keep your guests moving and your party grooving, even when we're not on stage. All of our equipment is PAT tested annually and, while we always maintain high standards of health and safety practice, we also carry public liability insurance, just in case the worst happens.
