Free State is a collective of former resident musicians from the iconic Cheltenham club Subtone. They have worked with and alongside some of the biggest names in the dance scene from Mista Jam to the Dub Pistols, to the international Queen of hard house Lisa Lashes and many more. Playing a full spectrum of feel good uplifting dance music from house to soul all with DJ Louis Capaldi 's unique twist of mashups and remixes.

These guys were absolute amazing! The saxophone was epic and all the tunes were spot on, the DJ included all the tunes we wanted and the bongos added a really different element to the group. Exceeded all expectations they really made the event!

Do you have different line-up options?

The client can choose which line up they prefer primarily we are DJ saxophone and bongos however there is also the option of a vocalist if they client so chooses.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely, our DJ has a large variety of songs at his disposal. We most certainly can provide music inbetween sets if required.

How much time do you need to set up?

Typically we like to begin set up an hour before the performance time so we can ensure the sound is perfect! As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere ready for our performance.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Unfortunately due to the nature of our instruments we are unable to roam around the premises.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our DJ has years of experience curating the perfect setlist's for various events, to sure the clients and guests have an amazing time. However we are more than happy to chat to the client and found out any preferences or requests.
