Chris and his band were absolutely fantastic, couldnt have asked for a better fit for our day. We had a Viking wedding on the clifftops of North Norfolk and wanted the music fit for feasting and revelry. Plenty of communication before the day to make sure the songs fit for our day and to get the first dance chosen. On the day they were very flexible and pleasant. Chris walked us all through the dances they played for us and got everybody from eight to eighty up on their feet! One of the main contrabuting factors that made our day so memorable. Thank you so much guys.

I don't even know where to begin with a review! We had the pleasure of Chris and the band playing at our wedding and they were incredible, with great communication before, during and after, bringing a personable approach making sure my Grans favourites were played! Every person I know came up to me and not only said how amazing the band were as musicians but also a friendly bunch of people!! They got our evening reception off amazingly and I will forever be grateful to have had them play for us - the pleasure was truly ours!!

Chris and his band were absolutely fantastic, and they made the evening! The ceilidh was so fun, and Fairgreen brought such a lively, energetic and infectious energy, our guests LOVED it. I have no hesitation in recommending these guys. They were so professional, friendly and thoughtful... The weather for our wedding day was absolutely baking hot, and the band were seamlessly able to play fillers between the dances to allow us all to rest/cool down! Do not hesitate to book these fabulous people for your event!

This is a brilliant band to book if you’re looking for a fun ceilidh! We a fancy dress ceilidh the day after our wedding at Voewood. The guys were so lovely and everyone, including total beginners, had a really fun time.

Fairgreen Ceilidh were fantastic at our wedding recently! Communication was great beforehand and they were helpful with information about what they'd need to set up and their timings. What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients love the fact that all their guests, especially the ones who've never been to a ceilidh, had such a fun time.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Many historic buildings - brilliant for ceilidhs.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Dave Swarbrick, Albion band, Altan, De Dannan, Dubliners, Sharon Shannon, Feast of Fiddlers, Eliza Carthy, Fairport Convention, The Committee Band

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Battersea Arts Centre.

Can you perform covers?

Covers we've performed at request include Harry Potter theme, Annie's Song (John Denver). Travelling Wilbury's songs. We'll consider any request - success will depend on familiarity, time and degree of complexity!

Do you have different line-up options?

Ceilidh with 3 or 4 musicians - all include a caller. caller/guitar/mandolin, fiddle, bass guitar, drums (the 4 piece)

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We're flexible and are open to discuss changes.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes we can play your playlist through our quality PA from a device between sets. The PA is also available for hire after the set for a disco until midnight using your own playlist. For that we would bring the more bassy PA with the 15inch speakers for an additional £100. Our lighting, such as it is, also included.

How much time do you need to set up?

60 to 90 minutes.

Do you provide a caller?

The experienced caller has done hundreds of gigs and is a musician in the band.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We're happy to include particular dances, for example Strip the Willow. Most people are very happy with our selection of dances - although we have a basic set in mind we tailor this to the needs of the dancers on the night so the event flows nicely, everyone, young & old, gets involved.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We would definitely consider learning a song if we thought we could do a good job. This might entail a small charge for extra rehearsal time.
