I booked Debbie for my 60th birthday at Stonehaven golf club. She was excellent from start to finish, played a wide range of songs and even went to the trouble to learn 3 of my favourite songs. Thanks to Debbie we had a fantastic afternoon as did our friends and family. We would highly recommend Debbie and wouldn't hesitate in booking Debbie for any future events. Thanks Debbie for making my 60th certainly memorable.

Thanks Allison so much for your review and for choosing me to sing at your party as a surprise for Dave! It was such fun to be able to sing outside in the open air in your lovely garden and to see all your family and friends enjoying the music and up dancing on your special day.

This year we chose Debbie Abbott to provide the evening entertainment for our well-established annual community event and asked her to sing two sets of 45-60 minutes each. She turned up well in advance to fit in around our plans, started and finished singing exactly on time and gave us a couple of extra bonus songs at the end. Debbie has a terrific voice - smooth at times, powerful at others, with clear diction - and the audience of 115 loved every minute. We left the playlist to Debbie with only general guidance only towards 60’s and 70’s music and her song choice was pitched just right for the audience. She asked for and was given a few requests on the night that went down exceptionally well, especially one for a couple who were celebrating their golden wedding anniversary. Both Debbie and her husband Peter were very easy to get along with and friendly giving us exactly the vibe we needed for our audience. The sound equipment they brought was amazing allowing Debbie to demonstrate her remarkable vocal talents to the full. Ours is quite a large hall and her voice was clear across the whole area. The audience were truly appreciative of Debbie’s voice and character as can be witnessed by the amount of people crowding the dance floor at times and the many positive comments we have received on Kinglassie Facebook pages. We have already had several requests to ask her to come back again next year. (10 / 10)

We have finally got back after our son’s wedding in the Scottish Highlands and now have time to thank those people who made it so special. It was the opposite of the big white wedding but just what Andrew and Amy wanted. They were very late in booking you for the event but it worked out brilliantly! It proves you don’t need a posh hotel or venue for the day, just special people there to make it work. You were one of those special people and your evening performance rounded off a brilliant day. We also appreciated the distance you had to travel from Dundee, especially the journey home. Thanks Debbie for being a big part of our special day, we will always remember you.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients and audiences often say that I have a beautiful voice and an amazing range of songs across different genres and that I really get people up dancing and enjoying themselves.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have performed at many different venues of all sizes, from intimate concerts and private house parties, to full size weddings and corporate or charity events with several hundred guests. Examples include The Parsonage Hotel at Dunmore, the Carnegie Conference Centre in Dunfermline and the Malmaison Hotel in Dundee.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I love a wide variety of music and artists across all eras and genres - country, rock, pop, jazz, swing, R&B, blues, folk. Some of my favourite artists include Adele, Patsy Cline, Shania Twain, KT Tunstall, Johnny Cash, Annie Lennox, Passenger, KC Musgraves, Elton John, The Beatles, The Carpenters, The Police, Lewis Capaldi, Ella Fitzgerald …..

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I recently performed to 200+ guests at The Parsonage Hotel at Dunmore which is regularly voted as the most romantic wedding venue in Scotland. Also, I performed at the Northern Nashville Country Music Club as the lead singer of The Duke Boys, a well established Scottish country band who have toured Europe playing to audience of 20,000+

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £100.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance start time. As soon as the PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

The set list(s) will be drawn up to fit your particular event while taking account of what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. I'm definitely happy to chat through our suggested setlist and adapt it as necessary to reflect your preferences and make sure it will work for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes absolutely. I have a top-end twin-tower Bose PA system that will work well not only for small intimate venues but also for large venues up to around 300 guests, and this is included within my prices.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

f a song isn't included in our song list, we may well already know it. If there is a song (or even a couple of songs) that you would like us to learn we are always happy to do this for you and there will generally be no charge for this as part of a full event.
