Claudia Fenoglio

My career highlights so far include radio play from BBC6 Music and being featured on Spotifys New Music Friday and Fresh Finds. I began writing music at the start of University as this was when I began to experience different emotions and feelings; specifically love and heartbreak. I started busking throughout University which gave me some great opportunities. I met and had meetings with promoters and most excitingly percussionist, Lea Mullen (George Michael). I also supported Toploader and had a writing session with Darren Alboni (Ella Henderson). I also filmed a teaser for a show about busking that was going to be presented by Craig Charles. I released my first single entitled Waste in 2019 that was recorded in my living room at home in Cheshire. It gained 30,000 streams in the first month and gained the attention of BBC Introducing in West Yorkshire. I was then invited to do an in- session performance and interview with Emily Pilbeam. Over Lockdown, I wrote and self- produced my next single, ‘Over Now’. I was really proud that I did this independently as it expanded my technical skillset. I received some lovely reviews of the song from various blogs and press such as Nice People Leeds, The Music Mermaid, Punk Head and The Luna Collective. In 2021, I started working with Tim Malkin (Fizzy Blood and Talkboy) at The Green Room Studio in Leeds. I released ’19 Again’ and ‘Like it Never Was’ in late 2021 and received radio play from Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing. By this stage, I was beginning to gather a team of people around me that I enjoyed working with and was making more progress with my career. I collaborated with various musicians on these songs such as Sam Newman (Heir) and George Hall (Têtes de Pois), and worked with filmmaker and art director, Alice Halstead (In the Morning Lights), to create music videos and content for these releases. Recently, I have been announced as a Launchpad Leeds supported artist in which I have received mentoring sessions from advisors such as Scott Lewis (Clue Records: Team Picture, Van Houten). I am also one of the finalists on an upcoming Come Play with Me compilation vinyl that was judged by Lily Fontaine (English Teacher), Westley Holdsworth (PRS) and Alex Ives (Specimans, First Terrace Records). In addition, I am supporting my upcoming releases by playing Long Division festival in June, Sofar Sounds, and supporing Luke Jackson at FortyFive Vinyl Café, York.
