Piano Bar Entertainer – cruise ship contract Start: April 1st End: June 30th Salary: varies from $3400 to $4200. Itinerary: Caribbean porting out of USA, then crossing the Atlantic to Europe (Med and Adriatic Sea) The piano bar entertainer position, as it exists on cruise ships, has particular value to the entertainment department, influencing guest satisfaction and bar revenue arguably more than any other musician on board. For this reason, the cruise lines are very discerning and selective about the piano bar entertainers they choose. In order to apply, a 10-minute demo is required, comprised of short clips of various popular cover songs (clips that are roughly 30 seconds to 1 minute in length). All songs should be performed acoustically, on voice and piano/keyboard -- no backing tracks. Stylistically, most of the songs should be rock, pop, Motown or oldies. At least 4 songs should be classic sing-along material (Piano Man, Sweet Caroline, American Pie, Build Me Up Buttercup, etc), and most songs should be medium or uptempo; one or two ballads is fine, but no more. The majority of this 10 minutes of footage needs to be at an actual live venue (dueling piano bar, restaurant, hotel bar, open mic) and should include crowd participation -- audience singing along, audience singing instead of the entertainer, banter between the entertainer and the crowd, etc. This live footage is essential. However, a few songs recorded at home or in a studio setting, with excellent audio and video quality, can be a nice supplement to the live material. A 10-minute demo as described, plus a repertoire list of at least 250 songs, should give us the best possible chance of finding a cruise ship contract offer for you. Starting salaries generally range from $3400-$4200/month, performing 6 nights a week with private cabin accommodation.

Looking for: Drummers, Keyboardists, and Guitarists. Our aim is to build a strong and professional reputation, one that stands by our songs and our performances. In order to do this we need to have the support of other great musicians. We are looking to build a team of musicians to help with live shows, recordings, videos, etc. This meeting/jam is to see what kind of relationship we can establish both professionally and personally. The meeting/jams, will take place at a rehearsal studio in Southend, Essex on Saturday 25th February 2017 between 11:00 and 18:00. Once applied details of the exact time-slot and address will be given. The people that will be present are myself Alex (Singer, Rhythm Guitar) and Elliot (Producer/Bass). The style of the music we make is rooted in R&B & Soul, and branches into many categories. We are currently working on an EP and have a strong idea of how we want the Drums, Keys and Guitar to sound (the roles are being filled). Naturally we are always open to new ideas, though the roles are more practical than creative. If you are looking for a good group of people to make music with, and you are enticed by this description, then why not take some time out of your Saturday and come and meet us? The ideal candidates should be: Interesting, driven, and able to sing backing (although this is not essential)

The Ball itself is a highly prestigious, black-tie affair with some 1700 guests. Tickets sell out within hours for an event that runs from 9pm-6am and features myriad musical acts, luxurious food, all in a beautiful setting. We are looking for an experienced band to play a fun set of covers between 2-3am.

Hi there, I need a brass trio to play at a funeral next Friday. Meet at the house (very near burnt oak station) for 12.30, playing whilst walking with funeral procession from the house to the church (short 10 min walk). Then another small amount of playing when everyone exits the church into their cars. Repertoire needs to be things like (suggestions from my client) 'purple rain', 'true colours', 'different corner', 'ruby tuesday', 'manic monday' . They have also requested 'Isn't she lovely' Stevie Wonder. We can try to help find scores / arrangements if required....all easy stuff though. They want it played in a 'lamenting' style. Much more work available with us in the future if all goes well! Many thanks, Pete
