Formed in 2012 by Principal Conductor and Artistic Director, Toby Thatcher, Ensemble Eroica is a dynamic arts organisation made up of the leading young classical musicians and composers in London, working to improve the number and quality of funded performance and development opportunities available to our generation. Delivering crisp performances of cleverly programmed repertoire, the rotating roster of musicians who perform in our engaging young orchestra are top players from around the world who have come to the UK to pursue careers in the most vibrant and competitive classical music environment: London. In short, EE is a world-class platform for the promotion and development of musical talent. As described by Chief Music Critic Evening Standard Barry Millington, after attending the second of the three-concert series Eroica performed at Kings Place in 2016, "the playing of these accomplished young musicians was precisely articulated but at the same time radiated a sense of sheer joy in music-making."
