Sophie graduated with Distinction and the Postgraduate Prize for Excellence from Birmingham Conservatoire of Music in 2013 studying with Christine Cairns. Operatic roles include Lauretta, Rose Maurrant, Galatea and Theodora. Last year she sang Bastienne for Wastepaper Opera and was a soloist with the Orchestra of St John’s at King’s Place, the Ashmolean Proms, Dorchester Abbey and Smith Square singing Mozart arias with Dmitry Sitkovetsky. A regular oratorio soloist and recitalist Sophie has worked with a number of choral societies, orchestras and pianists and performs regularly in a soprano duo. Forthcoming work includes Atalanta for Hampstead Garden Opera, Erste Dame for Broadstone Music Series, Adina for Barefoot Young Artists Opera, Mozart Requiem in Putney, a recital at Chapel Royal, Brighton with Nancy Cooley and soloist ‘Last Night of the Bexhill Proms’ with the Sussex Concert Orchestra. Sophie holds a first class Mathematics Degree and lives in Sussex.
