Samuel Hau is a Hong Kong born violinist who, in 2013, was awarded a scholarship to study with Marius Bedeschi at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. In February 2017 Samuel won the college’s annually-held concerto competition and completed his undergraduate studies later that year. Recent appearances include a masterclass with the critically acclaimed Nicola Benedetti and a performance in St David’s Hall Cardiff with the Royal Welsh College Symphony Orchestra, playing Karol Szymanowski’s Violin Concerto No.1. As an RCM Award Holder supported by a Joan Weller Scholarship, Sam is currently undertaking postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Music under Professor Itzhak Rashkovsky.
