Bio: "Rebecca Rodgers displayed an impressively fiery temperament and a voice already rich and powerful" - The Belfast Telegraph Rebecca is a Master's student at the Royal Irish Academy of Music under the tutelage of Kathleen Tynan. Her most recent roles include: Iris in the RIAM's production of Handel's Semele, Bodo in Ulysses Opera Theatre’s Flatpack, Geraldine in the RIAM’s production of Samuel Barber's A Hand of Bridge, Mrs. Herring in the RIAM's production of Albert Herring, Petrovna in the RIAM's production of Stravinsky's Mavra, the journalist in the opera briefs production of Kevin O'Connell's Sensational and L'armonia in Cavalli's Ormindo. Rebecca will perform the role of Angelica in Puccini's Suor Angelica directed by Tom Creed in March 2015. She appears on RTÉ's lyric FM cd production celebrating composer William Vincent Wallace which was released in October 2012. She recently completed the National Opera Studio's short course in London which was funded by NI opera. She is this year's Sligo Feis Ceoil Senior Bursary winner and was the winner of the Flax Trust Bursary at this year's Clandeboye Festival hosted by Camerata Ireland. Rebecca has just recently been chosen to perform in the RIAM/Juilliard song project devised by Iain Burnside which will take her to New York in March 2015 for a performance in the Juilliard school.
