Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

It depends upon the type of performance! If playing jazz either as a soloist or with my jazz band then I think they love my/our sophisticated sounds and cool vibe. If playing House/Dance music with a DJ then I think they love how I get stuck in on the dance floor with guests (see instagram videos!).

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

National Gallery, Westminster Abbey, Kensington Palace, Blenheim Palace, Cutty Sark, Tate Modern, Tate Britain, British Museum, V&A Museum, Dartmouth House, 4 Hamilton Place, Merchant Taylors' Hall, 10-11 Carlton House Terrace and many, many more!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Jazz wise I love the sounds of 1950s New York - so Miles Davies, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, Sonny Rollins, Sonny Stitt, Stan Getz etc. I could go on! In terms of my pop playing, then I just love playing tracks by the likes of Hed Kandi ("Summer of Sax" is excellent)!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I performed for the CNN coverage of the marriage of Wills & Kate. I'm performing in a (slightly rubbish) film with James McAvoy called "Penelope", and I performed at Sir Michael Caine's 80th Birthday Party at the Museum of London. Plus a few others where we've had to sign NDAs too!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I try to be as flexible as possible with timings and so if things need to change please do just let me know as soon as you can. If the amount of time that I'm on site extends there may be an additional fee for this.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I can provide background music through my speaker for during my breaks, but I don't provide a DJ service unfortunately.

How much time do you need to set up?

Generally speaking I like to allow 30 mins to set up prior to the start of the performance.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Please do!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes! I provide all necessary equipment suitable for up to approx . 80 guests as standard, and then can provide a full PA system for larger events for an extra fee.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If I can find a backing track for the piece, and it works well on the saxophone then I'm happy to include up to 3 tunes free of charge.

Nathan was fantastic, i had so many comments on how great he was and the music was just perfect for our occasion. I would definitely recommend him and have him play again for our Christmas party.

Thank you all so much for creating just the right atmosphere last Thursday. Many of my guests commented on how the music set the mood for the occasion. As you know, I was particularly keen to have a female vocalist, and Amy was quite beautiful in voice and person. I really appreciated your professional advice and approach to the whole thing."

Thank you Nathan, it was lovely to see you again last night. Just to let you know your trio were brilliant, it was just the right mix of music and sound. I'm hoping they enjoyed themselves as much as we enjoyed them. Look forward to seeing you on Monday.
