Since beginning the cello aged seven, Mimi has become a diverse, international cellist who has gained a wealth of experience in varied settings and genres.
She was awarded a scholarship to The Camden School for Girls in 2004, where she began composing for members of the LSO and ENO and arranging for bands. By 2012, Mimi had been awarded a place at Leeds College of Music and took up her studies with Alfia Nakipbekova.
In 2014, Mimi was invited to audition for the Belgian opera company Muziektheater Transparant. She was accepted and studied Baroque Cello and chamber music at deSingel with Nicholas Achten and Lucas Peres before embarking on a two month European tour.
Mimi is now a seasoned session musician and arranger, playing with various artists in a live and studio setting. Clients and collaborations include: Carnabells, Nel and the Elephants, Fran Minney, SMOKE, Isabelle Chousmer-Kerr, and the English National Jazz Orchestra, to name a few.
