Megan Thompson Violin

Megan is a postgraduate violinist at the Royal Northern College of Music where she also completed her undergraduate degree in 2018 and a postgraduate degree in 2020. An active freelance violinist, Megan plays regularly with ensembles such as Manchester Concert Orchestra, Skipton Camerata and Mowbray Orchestra as well as with with function quartets that perform across the country. She particularly enjoys session work and is the solo violinist for the Carpenters Story UK tour and the Illegal Eagles. Megan is passionate about teaching and works on the Liverpool Philharmonic's In Harmony programme and is an upper strings tutor on the RNCM Young Strings programme. She is passionate about playing and about passing on the skills and experiences that can be gained through making music.
