Violinist
Birmingham

Malvina is thoroughly involved within the Birmingham orchestral scene, playing with multiple orchestras throughout the year. Outside Birmingham, she has performed with Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra in London. Being a keen orchestral player, she was a member of the City of Birmingham Youth Symphony Orchestra for three years, performing at venues such as Town Hall and Symphony Hall. Malvina was delighted to be accepted to participate in Orkester Norden summer course and tour in Denmark in 2014 and in 2015 where the orchestra performed with Ray Chen. She is a Birmingham based violinist currently studying at Birmingham Conservatoire BMus Honors in Performance. She is taught by Simon Smith and Oliver Wille and was also given the opportunity to study with Professor Corina Bololoi on the Erasmus exchange programme at the National University of Music Bucharest in Romania 2014. She has developed a wide range of musical interests and is still exploring further opportunities. As well as participating in many school ensembles, Malvina was also introduced to the Queensland Youth Orchestra. Malvina was born in Umeå, Sweden and after moving to Australia, her family settled in Queensland when she was four. Her interest in music became evident after watching a broadcast of Vanessa Mae playing Vivladi’s Four Seasons
