Luke is a drummer/percussionist who is currently studying towards his Professional Music Performance degree at the Academy of Contemporary Music, where he is studying under Pete Riley (Republica, Guthrie Govan), Paul Turner (Jamiroquai, Tina Turner, Annie Lennox), and Brian Henry (Eternal, Gabrielle, Mark Morrison). For the last two years Luke has been working professionally as a drummer in various areas of the industry – Theatre work: performances of We Will Rock You, The Wedding Singer, Just So, Oliver, Grease, the London premier of The Great American Trailer Park Musical, and a pantomime in 2015. Alongside this Luke has co-written, arranged and performed with originals bands, music of which has been played by radio stations such as BBC Introducing. Some of Luke’s most notable performances with these bands include the Cambridge Junction and Victorious Festival 2015. As well as performing in bands, Luke has also played with full orchestras and choirs in large music venues including cathedrals. Apart from playing live, Luke has also gained many hours in the studio recording working with a variety of producers in different situations.
Luke has been a pleasure to work with at the ACM and has continuously developed as a drummer with an extremely professional outlook. Luke is certainly a player to look out for in the future.
After selecting Luke following auditions at his music college, I have since booked him for numerous show and function band projects. He is always punctual, extremely well-organised and prepared, and hugely supportive of the cast and crew. Due to his outstanding commitment and work ethic, I have no doubt that he will do an excellent job on any project he works on.
