Luke McElroy is a final-year medical student at the University of Edinburgh. He is also a keen musician, having held the piano chair of the Edinburgh University Music Society and Edinburgh University Jazz Orchestra for the last three years. He has recently taken over as musical director of EUJO. He also works regularly with student and amateur musical theatre companies in both Edinburgh and his native Glasgow, most recently being the musical director for Edinburgh University Savoy Opera Club's5 star production of "The Addams Family". Luke was also the assistant MD and keyboardist for The Edinburgh University Footlights' award winning production of "RENT". Luke studied under renowned professor Marika Meshkuna–Slater at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Junior Department and whilst a student here gave over twenty public concerts and achieved his Associates diploma from Trinity College London with distinction.
