Luke Mather is a conductor, singer and composer based in Manchester. Luke graduated with a First Class Music Degree from the University of Manchester last year and he assisted in conducting the three University Choirs during his final year. Only after a year out of university, Luke now works full time as a musician - He is director of Barnsley Singers and Bolton Chamber Choir and an assistant director of Barnsley Youth Choir. He recently ran a workshop with Music in the Round in Doncaster and founded Icosa, a dynamic professional chamber choir that performs around the country. As a singer, Luke sings with the National Youth Chamber Choir of Great Britain and has sung solos on BBC Radio 3 and at the City of London Festival with the group. Luke is a keen composer of choral music, having written over 40 works. He currently studies singing with Andrew Heggie and conducting with Matthew Hamilton.
