Kitty B Green

Kitty performs jazz, swing, blues, funk, soul, reggae, ska and dance music. Kitty performs on tenor, alto and soprano saxophones, and is a highly esteemed jazz vocalist, entertaining crowds across the UK and internationally, often working as a session musician and as a lead vocalist and saxophonist in various musical genres. Kitty's work has included backing vocal performances with soul legend PP Arnold, festival work including Shanghai Expo, Glastonbury, Dublin Fringe Festival, Brecon Jazz, Twinwood Vintage Festival and many many more. Recent bookings include jazz performances in Milan, working with DJ's in Doha and across the UK at festivals and events and several Solo Shows as a Jazz Vocalist and Saxophonist. Kitty performs in several musical genres including ska, dub, reggae, electronica, pop, rock, soul, gospel and more. Her solo sets also feature the possibility of dance/chillout/house music beats mixed live by Kitty as she performs on saxophone and iPad. Kitty has performed for several years on tenor saxophone with the UK's leading ska/two tone tribute band - 2Rude - and performs as a saxophonist and backing vocalist for tribute acts and travelling bands. Recent work has included backing the soul legend PP Arnold on board the cruise ship Ventura, and backing UK's leading tribute artists performing as Amy winehouse/Simply Red in Denmark, Spain and the Uk. Other bands Kitty has worked with include a China tour with Ebony Bones, tour dates with dub legend The Mad Professor, Dublin Fringe and Glastonbury performances with TrifleSky, and several jazz festival gigs with bands the Jiveoholics, Les Minouches Atomiques and Kitty's own line-ups including Kitty's Trio, Kitty and the Purramours and Kitty's Little Big Band. She has released several CD's of original compositions and jazz classics that she reworks with her own touch, adding a new style to the classic American songbook.
