Kirsty Young

I'm a highly experienced opera singer, an entertaining performer, and a specialist funeral singer. In 2009, I created Singers for Funerals, to provide professional soloists for any type of funeral service; church, crematorium, burial ground. During 2017, we have helped more than 50 families celebrate the life of a loved one with wonderful music, beautifully sung. Back in the 1990s, I founded Hatstand Opera, one of the UK’s most loved touring opera companies. Almost 25 years on, we're still presenting our signature opera highlight shows to sell-out audiences, at all types of occasions. I'm a member of Equity, I was a founder member of the Classic FM Consumer Panel, and a Director of the Opera and Music Theatre Forum for several years. I have also shown my pedigree Field Spaniel at Crufts.
