Jo Hampson-Gilbert

Jo began her musical studies at the age of six. She later won a full scholarship to study the Violin and Viola at Trinity College of Music, London. Jo is a busy professional freelance Violist and Violinist and works with many professional orchestras (most recently Royal Liverpool Philharmonic (1st violin extra), and Urban Soul Orchestra (viola) and ensembles throughout the country. She also plays the Viola with the Arcosanti Quartet and Violin with the Arcosanti String Duo, her own established ensembles. Jo has experience as a session musician as well as an orchestral and chamber player. She has worked with various record labels and has appeared as a guest artist on cruise ships. She travels across the country and abroad performing.
