British soprano Catharine Rogers was born and raised in London before studying at the University of Durham, Trinity Laban, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland & ENO Opera Works. Her roles as a student include Yum-Yum (the Mikado) at Durham, Beatrice (Our Man In Havana, by Malcom Williamson) & Speranza (Orfeo) at Trinity Laban, and Fiordiligi (Cosi fan Tutte) & Blanche (Les Dialogues des Carmélites), and many more in scenes and extracts. Professional roles include Alice Ford (Falstaff), Sarah (Clemency), Fiordiligi (Cosi), Clorinda (Cenerentola), Edna (Tobias & The Angel), Octavia (Coronation of Poppea), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) & Burgundy Red (The Lovely Ladies). She has worked for many prestigious companies and festivals including English National Opera, Scottish Opera, The Buxton Festival, The Cheltenham Festival, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Opera Up Close, The Aldeburgh Festival, Suffolk Opera & Diva Opera. As a previous recipient of an award from the Royal Warrant Holders Association, Catharine was invited to sing at the Coronation Festival in Buckingham Palace in July of 2013. Catharine is the subject of a documentary made for the Open University module AA100 - The Arts, Past & Present titled Future Diva, which follows her studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Future plans include Musetta La Boheme for Regents Opera in Summer 2016 & title role Arabella for Fulham Opera Orchestral Workshop.
