Inspired by global grooves from Caribbean calypso to South African swing, Baraka has a growing collection of original tunes and improvisations with distinctive Afro-Latin sounds. The first album - Yebo - came out in 2016. Children of the Sun was released as an EP in 2019.

We've had the pleasure of working with Baraka for three years where they've become a regular part of the programme. Their unique brand of original jazz, bright with its tropical spirit and underpinned with expert technicality, is a real steal to find and has added a range and depth to our programme. Aside from that they're always a delight to work with: on time, polite and focused on delivering a great musical experience for our customers. We couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Baraka have been playing at Omnibus since 2015 and have brought their unique and original style to a variety of events from gigs, to fundraising events and most recently jamming with young people. They are a delight to work with and I recommend them wholeheartedly
