Adam Parrish

Having been enthused by Music at a very early age, Adam started formal Piano lessons when he was eight years old and has also studied Church Organ and Oboe along the way. He has just completed his Music degree at York St John University. His playing style draws on a variety of influences including Classical, Jazz and Progressive Rock which he has moulded together to create a fresh, lively and musically unique approach to performances. His Musical adventures have taken him all around the country and venues have included the London Royal Albert Hall, Renishaw Hall, Wythenshawe Hall, Chatsworth House, Durham Cathedral, York Minster and the National Centre for Early Music. He is the permanent Musical Director for Tadcaster Parish Church and The Selebian Singers. In addition his recent work has included directing professional Musicals and Pantomimes. He also works as a professional recording artist for many Composers. Furthermore he is a current backing Musician for artists such as 'Jay Aston' from Bucks Fizz, Classical FM star 'Rebecca Newman', Marisa Johnson, Jonathan Ansell [from G4], Nicki French [Eurovision] and Russ Dennett from 'The Human League' He has recently been invited to write and arrange pieces for many ensembles and events, such as the Sydney Oboe festival. Further performances of his music have been scheduled abroad, specificially in the USA and Australia.
