About AMICI

AMICI provide music suitable for concerts in residential care homes, hospitals, day care centres, special schools and hospices.
United Kingdom

AMICI are a dynamic duo who specialise in performances for care homes, hospitals, day centres, hospices and special schools throughout the UK. We believe that music can make a difference in people's lives and we want to share our gifts of music-making. We are able to offer varied programmes depending on where the concert is taking place. Our concerts are either 45 minutes or an hour in length or can be two 45 minute sets with an interval. All concerts involve a wide variety of solos and duets accompanied live by Katie on the guitar or keyboard. We are able to take song requests and can perform repertoire suited to the occasion of the concert whether it be for a birthday, memorial celebration, seasonal events such as Easter and Christmas or just a general concert! AMICI consists of Louisa Haggerty (classical soprano and actress) and Katie Ritson (pop vocalist, pianist and guitarist). Both Katie and Louisa are professional musicians with a wealth of performance experience. As a duo, Katie and Louisa are dynamic performers. We both have experience as actors and are therefore able to perform the songs in a way that engages with the audience. Our experience of performing to audiences at residential care homes and other events within the health sector means that our concerts are suitable, professional, intimate and engaging. As individuals we are committed and reliable; we both firmly believe that music can make a difference in people's lives and we want to share our gifts of music-making. Louisa is a 22 year old classical soprano and actress from Hertfordshire. She will shortly be graduating from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. In her 3rd year at the RNCM, Louisa did a placement with the charity Music in Hospitals at both residential care homes and special schools which gave her great insight into the power of music and the sort of repertoire and performance dynamic that creates an enjoyable, professional and fun concert. Katie is a 22 year old singer/songwriter from Accrington who graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music in 2015 with a 1st class Honours degree. Before AMICI was formed, Katie performed regularly as a soloist at various care homes and day centres throughout Manchester. AMICI have full liability insurance with the Musician's Union and are CRB checked.
